Wondering if it would be possible for a few of these options to be added (or maybe it's already possible?).

First of all it would be nice if 720p or 1080p was detected in the filename if it could be added into the renamed filename? Ideally this would check the full filename so that I could rerun my renamed files where I kept the signature in addition to new files.

Secondly it would be nice if movies (and perhaps even TV shows) could be separated into different folders depending upon file quality? Possible options include: Movies, Movies - 720p HD, Movies - 1080p HD, TV Shows, TV Shows - 720p HD, TV Shows - 1080p HD.

Would like it if these could be two separate options.

Alfred,
i second this request. the software is awesome and the only thing that i think its missing is the ability to keep the quality in the filename such as 720p or 1080p.

maybe this thread belongs in the feature request section?

It's possible, can you guys recommend a list of video quality to keep?
It will have to be exact match in the filename, theRenamer won't be able to grab the video's resolution.

1) 720p
2) 1080p
.... what else?

from your settings page 2 i got the following.

360p
480p
720p
1080p

but i was thinking more along the lines of an editable box just like the keywords to ignore but instead be keywords to keep. in there we can have something like this:

"360p" "480p" "720p" "1080p" "DVDRIP" "R5" "CAM"

it should go in order from left to right and when it finds a matching one from the filename do not parse the rest. we only need one identifier for quality..

Awesome. Ideally since it will stop parcing after it finds one the order will be from best quality on the left to worst quality on the right.

"1080p" "720p" "DVDRIP" "R5" "480p" "360p" "CAM"

Thanks,
your program is great, the only thing i'd miss so far is the resolution tag.
With it, it's simply perfect!
Keep up the good work!

Done. Please wait for next build.

It'll be part of "Keep Signature" in Global Settings.
Enable "Keep Signature", and type something into the new 'Filter' text box.
eg: "1080p" "720p" "DVDRIP" "R5" "480p" "360p" "CAM"

First word from left that matches will be kept.

eg: Filter "1080p" "720p" "DVDRIP" "R5" "480p" "360p" "CAM"
From: From: Star.Trek.2009.DvDRip-FxM
To: Star Trek (2009 PG-13) (DVDRip)

If nothing is entered into the Filter text box, everything will be kept (how Keep Signature previously works).

"Keep Signature" will be renamed to "Keep Original Filename"

Joined up add this:

Please make this option for folders too. Not just filenames. Only thing keeping me from letting this rip through my collection.
And it should be any word on the list. Not just the first from the left. Could be you want to keep multiple tags.

And add these to the filter list:
"DVDSCR" "DVDR" "Bluray" "SCREENER" "BDRip" "TS" "TC" "Workprint" "HDTV" "XVCD" "PDVD" "VCD" "SVCD" "HDDVDRip" "INTERNAL" "EXTENDED" "DC" "THEATRICAL" "SE" "STV"

That should cover 98% of ppls collections
