Hi,
Would it be possible for theRenamer to remove empty folders once it's done moving files to their new location?

Of course theRenamer would have to make sure the folder is absolutely empty.
I just thought it would be a nice feature, because when you move files, especially on the same drive, and e.g. the show name was changed or you decided you want the show name in the season-folder, you get lots of empty folders and have to go through them one by one.

Maybe alfred has some spare time :)

Empty folders are suppose to be deleted after moving.
I do check Folder Size, if it is 0k, remove it.

Unless... the folder is being used?
If u see empty folders, try deleting it through Windows Explorer. Don't quit any running apps. If Windows allows, then there's a bug somewhere.

or do i have to activate somewhere in a menu? the only thing i could find is delete sample folder and files, but i don't have any "samples" and i don't want to delete any files.

but empty folders have never been deleted. in no version i have tested so far.

ok. TV mode never deletes empty folders currently.

Just tried the new 7.44 and it's partially working :(

e.g. I wanted to rename CSI. Now last time by mistake it named CSI "C.S.I". I now set the force show name and it moved the files. It also deleted the "Season" folder, but it did not delete the now empty parent folder.

i.e.:
d:\tv\C.S.I\Season 6\filename.avi

it moved the file, deleted the folder "Season 6" but the empty "C.S.I" folder remained.

and just a teeny tiny extra-request: would it be possible to have the empty folders deleted to the recycle bin? just in case something goes wrong.

but would it not be possible, and sensible, to delete the shows folder as well, if no seasons are left anymore?
