Fetch Folder ('Source Folder')

The Fetch Folder is the home where your Original video files are kept.

Although you can drag&drop files from any folder to theRenamer, assigning a fetch folder path makes grabing files from the usual source folder easier.

A dog paw button will appear at the start page when a Fetch Folder is assigned.

Fetch Folder is important to for Movie Mode.

Sometimes, your movies are not contained in a folder, just a single file.

And Movie mode always checks Folder names for the show name.

When the folder IS the same as the Fetch Folder, it will know the movie is a single file, and scan the filename for the show instead.

Notes:

When editing the paths manually, the new paths will NOT be saved.

This is done intentionally, meant for quick temporary changes.

When theRenamer starts again, it will switch back to the path that was last saved.

Example:

Fetch Folder is set to C:\New_Movies

Drag file c:\New_Movies\The Dark Knight.avi

When theRenamer looks at the folder for the avi, it will know 'c:\New_Movies' is NOT a movie name, and will check the filename instead.
